Diani is one of the major tourism areas in Kenya and is known for its coral reefs, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and for the closely located Shimba Hills National Reserve. It is one of the major centers on the Indian Ocean coast and it is located 30 kilometres south of the history laden city and port of Mombasa.
Diani beach, where you will stay for your visit, has been voted Africa's leading beach destination five times since 2015. The beach is 17 kilometres long and has many restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, and shopping centres that enthral visitors.
Diani Beach is the most popular swimming, kitesurfing, jet skiing and snorkelling location on the coast. It is the perfect place to relax and chill out after your adventure in Kenya and a place you will never forget. The warm waters of the Indian ocean lap the Baobab resort. 4 Days/3 Nights at Baobab Resort at Diani Beach
In the morning you will depart JKIA for your short flight to Ikunda Airport for you flight to Diani beach and Baobab Resort
Upon arrival you will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Baobab Resort after a 10-minute drive. After settling into your room, you will no doubt be ready for a refreshing swim either at the beach or in any of the 5 pools at the resort. It's yours to explore.
Grabbing a pizza or a refreshing drink from the pool side cafes may also be in your thoughts or retreating to the resorts restaurants for lunch or dinner is also another option. All this is included in your tariff.
If you are particularly adventurous you can also choose activities from either windsurfing, kitesurfing, jet skiing or snorkelling. Or why not take a boat ride out to the reef to see the fish feeding and to go for a swim? It’s always great fun.
The idyllic pace of Baobab Resort is only interrupted by your energy levels. So, if you think day 1 was exceptional, then days 2 and 3 offers more of what this outstanding resort has to offer.
There is beach volleyball, an impromptu dance class conducted by staff, a water polo competition, volleyball, and pool aerobics. Activities are conducted each and every day.
Or why not take a jog around this expansive resort – fresh air, magical views and getting fit at the same time! But if you are looking to do as least as possible then you can watch all this as you sip on your cocktails as you lay beside the pool.
Your only interruption to your day is to target the restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner. And for those in between times to available yourself of the snacks and drinks which are available at all the pools throughout the resort.
There’s always plenty of time to get in that last minute swim prior to your departure and to enjoy every minute of the day before you leave.
You will be picked up from the resort at an agreed time and taken to the local Ikunda airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi and the end of 4 incredible days.
