At One Horizon, pigs have been important in our small business program for grandmas. With a focus to assist grandmas keep their families together, pigs have played a huge part in helping us implement a program which delivers on a number of fronts. Grandmas start in our mentoring program before moving into a business program that trains them in all matters required to raise pigs. And with our support its about 14 months before the piggery is running profitably. And judging by our guests they love our piggies as much as we do. And the reputation our grandmas have earned as pig breeders has another bonus as well. The overwhelming majority of our piggies are purchased by farmers for breeding. A sustainable program which delivers results. The Go Granny Go tour is part of the Magical Kenya Signature Experience Collection selected by the Kenya Tourist Board.
